Have you ever felt like you are living someone else’s story? Or that the life you are living out was a life you thought you wanted, but somehow something feels like it’s missing?
In this episode, I show you how to shift the story you’re living in based on a belief I had to shift in my own life. I dive into an old belief of mine about motherhood, how that belief was holding me back from reaching my fullest potential and how I shifted my story!
Ready to shift your story for 2021??? If so, this episode is for you!!
1:53 Being a Mom Was The Ultimate Goal
I hear from a lot of women who feel that becoming a mo, was their ultimate goal in life. And same was true for me, I knew I wanted to be a very present mom and stay home with my kids.
Early on, I got hit with the reality that being a mom is long & hard. During that time, I fell in love with taking pictures of my baby and began dabbling in photography. It gave me a sense of identity by doing something outside of just being a mom. It grew into a full time business that I loved!
When coaching came into my life, I continued carrying the story with me that being a mom came first. The belief that anything you do outside of doing things for your children was taking away from them.
10:16 You Have the Power to Shift The Story You’re Living By
When you shift your story, you can shft your life! My story started to shift from “Coaching taking away from being a mom” to “I am literally coaching because I need it, so I can be a healthy, happy, positive, mother.”
I know for a fact that Heavenly Father knows each of us so personally and He is placing things in our life that we need to continue to grow and progress. Things that help us serve our purpose and reach our full potential.
14:02 How to Show Up and Turn Your CEO Hat On
When I put my CEO hat on, I no longer think about the day-to-day needs of motherhood. I don’t feel guilty for stepping into my office and working because I know it’s in my life for a purpose and a reason. It took me years to figure this out!
17:45 You Might Have a Story That You Haven’t Questioned Yet
We have to be constantly self coaching and asking ourselves if the story we’re living by is serving us – or whether it’s something I can change.
